To ensure you receive a membership slot in our practice, we encourage you to go ahead and Sign Up via our website or call a Privia Membership Advisor during normal business hours at 888.774.8428. Privia will also assist you in scheduling your first appointment.
To schedule an appointment, please call our office at (703) 642-5990 between 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and follow the instructions. You will be asked to provide your name, telephone number, and date of birth, type of insurance, and reason for appointment.
Please be sure to bring your insurance card(s) identifications, and co-payment if applicable.
In order to obtain a refill on your prescription, you will need an appointment to see your provider. An office visit allows your provider to make a physical assessment of your health and determine medication requirements.
Please remember to discuss any needed refills for long-term prescriptions with your provider at the time of each appointment.
If you are a Privia member, you can request prescription refills, request appointments, access your personal health record, or send a secure message to your doctor by Logging In to your member website.
Telephone Calls and Test Results
VMA has a Patient Service Center to handle patient calls, giving our physicians more uninterrupted time to spend with patients. You can call our office to speak with a nurse from 7 a.m - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The nurses will check with your doctor between patients regarding your questions. Please leave your work and home number and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Patients will be notified by either telephone or mail regarding test results. Patients can expect to receive results on routine test and studies within two weeks.
For life threatening emergencies call "911" or proceed to the nearest emergency department. For urgent calls after hours, weekends, and holidays, called (703) 642-5990 and follow the menu instructions.
For non-emergencies, Privia members may also log into their member website and send a secure message to their doctor, or leave a voice message on your doctor's private Privia voicemail.
There is a $25 charge for all no-show appointments or appointments cancelled without 24 hour notice.
If your insurance plan requires a referral for a specialist visit, you must make an appointment to see your primary care physician first. An appointment is necessary to determine the need and type of referral and to direct you to the appropriate participating specialist. A referral must be presented at the time of your appointment with a specialist.
Dr. Oshry maintains admitting privileges at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He will remain in close contact with the hospitalist providing all pertinent information
Dr. Immel, the GI physician with VMA, actively consults on GI issues at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. Dr. Eller, in addition also offers a concierge practice.
